I just found in YouTube a quite new channel: it’s not a common Apple fan channel, it’s APPLE’S OFFICIAL Channel. It has been created the 25th September 2008 and now it’s already the most subscribed channel in this month and in this week world wide. There, you’ll find all Apple’s ADs and Guides for all products. The quality of the videos is not as good as the ones on the official Apple website (www.apple.com), but now they are accessible from more people, also those who don’t have Quick Time player. New 2.2 Software under construction

Not so long ago, the 2.1 firmware came out for our iPhones.

But already they are talking about 2.2. In fact Apple has just started sending the new BETA version of the 2.2 software for iPhone to the apps developers. But for now, nobody know exactly what it’s going to looklike. Someone says that the Copy-Paste feature is coming out with it, someone else says that it will support MMS messages. 

But the only sure known thing is that the new Mobile Safari is going to have some small changes: the google toolbar is going to be always visible on the right top, where now you see the Refresh button which is going to be inside the Address Bar.

So, the only thing to do is wait that it comes out officially, and I’m sure it won’t take long.

Cycorder – Review

Cycorder is a nice little app that lets you record videos with the iPhone. It’s available for downloading from Cydia and it’s completely free. It’s also easy to use: only 2 buttons: the first one’s for starting recording a new video, the second one to see the already recorded videos. The app is meant to be used horizontally and so, and the top, left you can see a timer, that displays you how long the video you are taking is, and right the free space of your iPhone.

The app saves the your videos in: [root] > User > Media > Videos. [use a program like iPhoneBrowser to explore your iPhone and copy files].

“Video Recorder” is another similar app, but the video size is quite worst and, most important, it’s not free: you can download it from Installer, but then you can only take 30 videos of a maximum of 30 seconds; after that, you have to buy it for 19.95$ (too much for a program that should be built in the iPhone).

Here’s a list of the 4 main differences that makes iPhone 3G quite better than the older 2G.

 

  1. GPS Tracking (for using with Google Maps and other tracking apps downloadable from the App Store, like “GPS Tracker”, “Take Me To My Car” and “Speed”.

  2. 3G network for faster data downloading (when using an AT&T SimCard).

  3. 3.5 mm headphone minijack for using all your headphones (the alder one is compatible only with Apple’s original iPhone 2G jacks or you have to buy a converter).

  4. More space, of course (see iPhone Short Description for exact memory space of iPhone 2G and 3G).

Tap Tap Revenge (that’s the name you’ll find on the App Store) is a very similar game to Guitar Hero for the PlayStation.

You can choose a level (Easy, Medium, Hard or Extreme) and a song. Then you’ll see 3 lines from were colored balls fall down and you have to tap them when they are at the bottom of the screen following the rhythm of the song.

Nice thing when you are with a friend, it’s also possible playing this game in Two Players Mode. Other pretty feature is that you can download more songs to play (not so many but enough for having fun).

One more thing, the Tutorial is very interesting: instead of showing you pictures were you have to read instructions, in this tutorial a voice tells you what to do and in the same time lets you try everything.

iPhone is a revolutionary smartphone. Since it has been announced by Steve Jobs the 29 June 2007, the whole cell phones industry has changed. Now every company wants to build a better touchscreen phone (LG, Samsung, Nokia…) and those who already produced touch screen devices, (HTC…)  are trying to make theirs better. A lot of people say that iPhone is worst than other phones, but that’s not the truth. Apple has announced a future product, all other companies can’t copy it. Ok, accelerometer has been copied, but not the multi-touch. Even the newest rival of the iPhone, the Google Phone, doesn’t have it, also if it’s a nice phone. But don’t forget who was the first phone. And the keyboard? iPhone doesn’t have one, and you don’t even have to use a stylo pen. All the others, yes. They need one, they aren’t as accurate as Apple’s product. And inside the phone. iPhone has a powerful processor and a lot of RAM (I bought a computer 8/9 years ago, it had the same power of this phone!). That’s why the App Store is full of great graphic games. And not only games, utilities and more. Bad things about the iPhone: “closed head”, you have to use AT&T, you have to download apps from the apps store, you can modify only a few things. But for now, the iPhone is the BEST.
